Shei-Pa National Park

Feature :

Located between 2,000 meter and 2,996 meter of the He-ping village, Shei-pa National Park is 3,962.93 hectare in area. Besides the beauty of forest, it is a terrific bird-watching spot that draws international attention. There are 96 kinds of rare and valuable birds. It is the best forest park where tourists can take a walk, catch the beauty of sunrise and cloud sea, research on the plants, mountain climb, and again, observe the rare birds at. Even in the hot summer season, the temperature of park is below 18 C。, making it a wonderful summer resort.

Introduction :
Shei-Pa National Park is a ?cloudy and foggy area?according to meteorology . There are plentiful original trees like red juniper, Japanese cypress and hemlock spruce. It is the essence of natural forest place in Taiwan . There is a view spot between two mountains in the park area. People can see the sunrises with evolving sceneries, as well as the sea clouds. There's also a dark green pond called ?Sky Pond? which will never dry up. Also, a 1400 years old divine tree is really outstanding among thousands of trees. These two places are the key scenic spots in the Shei-Pa National Park

By Car:
Take Chung-shan Highway and exit at Feng-yuan junction. Follow the province route 3 to Tung-Shih. The totally journey is 16.6 km. Following, take forest route 200, from Tung-Shi to Shei-Pa Forest Park. Then, follow the route to An-Ma Inn. It takes about 43km.

Remarks: Free admission to get into the mountains
Tour Safety Notice:

Children and people who have diseases such as flu, heart diseases, asthma and high attitude illness, please do not get into the mountains in case of the dramatic change of temperature and pressure or air that make tourists fall ill.

For better understanding of the nature, geography, culture and better views of Shei-Pa National Park, a group of 20 persons and above could apply for a tour guide for the perceptual tour. Or, if tourists bring up application forms before 10 days, we may arrange a national forest tour guide to lead the tour free of charges.
