Introduction:
Crispy cake was originally one of the engagement pastries of the sea front area. Yu-Chen-Hsin Food Corporation used all natural butter to replace lard in makings of the cakes and repackaged the products in year 1983. The new product is more elegant and better in quality with its crispy skin on the outside, soft creamy filling inside, and a strong buttery scent. The public praise of the product was built in year 1988 while Cheng-Lan Temple was having its annual around-the-province tour. After the event, it set its position with Cheng-Lan temple and Ta-Chia weaved handcrafts as the Three Treasures of Ta-Chia.
To record the historical and cultural characteristics of Ta-Chia, Yu-Cheng-Shin Food Corp founded the Ta-Chia Three Treasures Museum on the second floor of its flagship store. The Museum has a permanent collection of historical photos of Ta-Chia, live scenes of Ta-Chia weaving handcrafts, scenes of Butter Cake making in ancient time and a series of 16 wood sculptures which represents the story of female goddess Ma-Tzu. The museum will be having cultural or art exhibitions periodically in the future.
