She-kou Dr. Lin House

Features :
The Residence of Tafu Lin was set up in 1875, in the Ching Dynasty. It was a residence of Chinese traditional rectangular courtyard with many wing houses on four sides. If visitors want to enter the main entrance, they have to walk along a long lane built with bricks of soil. After entering the entrance, visitors can see a half-moon pond. The decoration of the Residence of Tafu Lin is almost as good as the important historical spots like the Residence of the Lin Family in Wufeng and the Residence of the Lin Family in Panchiao.

Introduction :
     The Residence of Tafu Lin in Shekou Village is located at No. 9, Lane 600, Chungshan Rd. , Shekou Village , Shengang Township. It was set up in 1875 in the Ching Dynasty. It was a residence of Chinese traditional rectangular courtyard with many wing houses on four sides. The Ministry of Interior designated it as a third grade historic site. The horizontal inscribed board ?Chung-Shu-Ke?in the main hall was set up for the master of the residence, Lin Chen-Fang, in 1870 in the Ching Dynasty. The original family home of Lin Family is in Kuang-Tung. In the Ching Dynasty, Lin Chen-Fang was awarded ?Chung-Shu-Ke? a name of fundamental official in the Ching government. His two sons also passed the Scholar Test afterward. This kind of family was regarded as a typical scholarly family. Since Lin Chen-Feng was awarded ?Chung-Shu-Ke?in the Ching Dynasty, the residence of the Lin family was called ?The Residence of Tafu Lin.?(Tafu is an official name in the ancient China government.)

Take Fengyuan Bus from Fengyuan toward Taichung , and get off at Shenkang Stop on Chungshan Rd , Shengang Village. Take Fengyuan Bus Lines that go from the Taichung Railway station to Tachia

-By Car
Take Chung-shan Highway and get off at Fengyuan junction. Turn right at Chungshan Road toward Shengang Village. The mouth of the Lane 600 is just opposite Shenkang Junior High School . Walk for two hundred meters and will get to the Residence of Tafu Lin
